Welcome to the Asbestos Awareness course. Through this course, you will come to understand some asbestos hazards, know what to do if you come across asbestos and understand how asbestos is handled and removed.
The course is facilitated by Stewart Sampson, P.Eng., CRSP, ROH, CIH, who has over 30 years experience using respirators.

Note that this course is only meant to make you aware of what asbestos is, its effects and the techniques asbestos-handling specialists may use. The course is not detailed enough to make the learner an asbestos-handling expert or to actually allow the learner to work with or handle asbestos themselves.
The On Demand course uses a combination of handouts and video lectures to guide you through the material. The course is modular, allowing you to go at your own pace. We estimate that the average student can complete the material in less than 1 hour.
Successful completion of this course is based upon a final multiple choice quiz.
